Day by day, year after year

A few days before the COVID-19 crisis and the containment started, I was going to shoot images of Benoît playing the guitar in the heart of the Medina..

It was the ultimate Ricochet , after the portrait that I had made of him, and in the perspective of making a clip on of his song Aquarelles de Casablanca.

I was missing a few rushes during the editing, and Benoît shot solo with his mobile phone.

I put it all together, and spent some time on the end logo, its logo. Benoît was quite precise as the specifications: rebound with gravity effect, geometric shapes.

Nice video experience to highlight not the watercolors, which I have done a number of times, but rather the singer and his song.

Here is the text

Watercolors of Casablanca
In the alleys of the medina
In the alley of alleys, intoxicating maze
To the rhythm of rebellious scents, feelings
From rebounds to rebounds, something escapes you
You are looking for a sense in the sounds that your ear catches
Kilometers of walking in the heart of the city
Mosaic of colors and energy mixed

Watercolors of Casablanca
In the alleys of the medina
And those here are beautiful, well anchored in the place
Who, people or places, shape this space?
Here a spice merchant, here a princess
And everywhere children with games full of promise
Fighting your way through the interlacing of lives
The jumble, you feel it, hides an established order

Watercolors of Casablanca
In the alleys of the medina
We rub shoulders with misery, extreme destitution
Which seem natural in this arrangement
How does the intolerable become possible?
Everyone is in their worthy place in the inexpressible
The medieval town rich in traditions
Will leave the stranger alone with his questions

Watercolors of Casablanca
In the alleys of the medina
The nose in their screens, headphones to the ears
A few adolescents like a thousand others
Show the visitor that this millennium
The medieval town is no stranger
Richness of nuances, strength of decibels
That the painter captures in his watercolors

Watercolors of Casablanca
In the alleys of the medina
Richness of nuances, strength of decibels
That the painter captures in his watercolors
